Taking Pictures Using the Macro Lens or Macro Mode

swarovski crystal beadsIf you want to take a close shot of your object, you might need a macro lens if you are using a SLR or you have to switch to a macro mode in your compact camera. Depending on your digital compact camera model, your focal length might vary. Not all compact digital cameras can take good macro pictures. As you try to zoom in, you might find that the picture is blur.  An example is shown on the left. It is hard to take exact details of the object unless you have attached a macro lens to your SLR. Even though, you have to make sure that you have a tripod to avoid shake.

If you are using a digital compact camera, follow the instructions on your manual properly. If the guide writes position your camera at least 5 cm away from the object. Do follow as it really makes a difference. By following the instructions, you could take better an clearer pictures.

If you are taking an object that moves, such as an insect, you might be lucky if it stays on still momentarily. You would have to grab the chance to take the shot. A clear nice picture would delight you. It is really hard to take all the details of a moving object especially insects. If you happen to take one, you would be astonished by the details.

If you are taking a clear crystal object such as crystal beads, it is hard to get all the facets defined. Sometimes lighting plays an important part in how the pictures will turn out to be. If you can afford to have a mini studio, it is good as you can make use of the lighting to minimize the shadows caused and to get clearer and defined pictures.
